The Road

     For the Transcendentalist Essay Assignment I am going to use Walt Whitman's quote, " Not I, not any one else can travel that road for you, you must travel it for yourself", and compare it to Emerson's quote, "It cannot be recieved at second hand. Truly speaking, it is not instruction, but provocation, that I can recieve from another soul.", to talk about how we cannot be forced or led to believe something that we do not wish to believe. All of our decisions have to be made by us for us.
